Do you have to book for Marwell Zoo?

5. Take your time. Imagine Marwell Zoo as a walking safari. With 140 acres of beautiful parkland to explore, you'll need to allow 4-5 hours for your visit.

Additionally, do you need to wear a mask at Marwell Zoo? We strongly recommend you bring a face covering with you to make sure you can access all areas of the zoo. You will be required to wear a face covering when you visit our gift shop, Coffee Shop and Café Graze (with the exception of children under 11 and those with medical or other exemptions.)

We recommend that guests spend at least 4 or 5 hours in the park so you see everything you hope to. If you don't see our animals in their exhibits they could be inside or resting quietly so please look carefully or pop back and see them later in the day.

What time are Marwell Zoo tickets released?

Tickets are available to book online at around 1pm each day valid for a same afternoon visit anytime from 2pm until 5pm, with last entry at 4pm.

Can dogs go to Marwell Zoo?

Dogs and all other animals are not permitted in the park or to be left in cars. We ask that guests using assistance dogs let us know at admissions where they will be given an Assistance Dogs map & factsheet. Please note we do not accept assistance dogs and puppies in training.

Explore our zoo all year round (except Christmas Day and Boxing Day). We're open at 10am every day and last entry is 90 minutes before we close.
