Well depends if you want to capture your display or not. What you would normally do is press the plus button on the lower left side, then add it so it would record your game. Or, you could make it record your display. Then, you start up roblox, and hit record, and play away.

Click audio input icon to choose preferable audio source track (Microphone, system sound or the both). Launch Minecraft then adjust the recording size, press “REC” button to start recording. Press pause button if you want to finish recording, then click the tick icon to continue. Preview the video and select to save it as video files.

Minecraft is likely stealing CPU resources from OBS while recording/streaming (assuming you’re using CPU encoding) creating a laggy recording. You can free up more CPU for OBS by lowering the ingame FPS cap / Draw Distance.
