Bearsden and Milngavie are generally very safe, and very desirable places to live for higher earners. They are both very safe, if boring and distinctly upper-middle class. Prepare to buy an Audi and/or BMW. Those areas have a strong reputation for being among the most posh/snobby in the region, that's the joke.

Bishopbriggs is one of the better areas of Glasgow although it's actually over the boundary into East Dunbartonshire. Good area although parts of it can be fairly close to "less good areas". Couple of good golf courses. 5 minutes on the train to the City Centre.
