How to get them back is by crafting a bell and placing a building with beds inside near it. Ring the bell and they’ll follow. Then at night they’ll find the beds and bind themselves by sleeping. Do it again the next night/day, closer to the village with a bell and a new bed building. And so on until they are in the village.
