Sandy Ratcliff died on 7 April 2019 aged 70, after suffering several years of poor health. Sandy, one of the original EastEnders, played cafe owner Sue Osman from 1985-1989, with the character leaving after suffering mental health issues relating to her first son's cot death.
After his character was killed off, the actor had roles in The Bill and Casualty, and films such as The Musketeer in 2001, Tale Of The Mummy (1998), and George And The Dragon (2004). Now 84, he is enjoying the retired life with wife Katherine Kessey and their two children.
