Considering this, why can't I post a live photo on Facebook?
Scroll down on the photo so you can see the Live icon at the bottom left and tap it to turn on Live. If you don't do this it will only post a still photo. Tap Post. When you view the photos in Facebook, just press and hold on them to view the moving image.
Beside above, can I post a live photo? As a Live Photo is only 1.5 seconds long, it won't work. You can post the Live Photo as normal on Instagram but it will only appear as a still image, and that sort of defeats the point of it being a Live Photo in the first place.
Likewise, can I upload live photos to Facebook?
To upload a Live Photo using the main Facebook app, tap on the “Photo” button at the top of the News Feed. From there, select the Live Photo you want to upload and tap on the “Live” icon at the bottom right. If you do not tap on the “Live” icon before hitting "Post," then just the still photo will be uploaded.
